Following the inspiration provided by my daughter's passion for animals, I feel I have to make an attempt to draw owls, as she loves them so much. There are wonderful examples of owl-art online. I will just add my voice to the chorus of admirers of these majestic and interesting birds.
Here are a few WIP pictures...colors coming soon!
This little owl group is wonderful! I love the mother's protective wing. Very sweet. I just made an owl box for one of my daughters at Christmas. They seem very popular right now though. And sloths...
ReplyDeleteSloths? Is it because of Ice Age? I don't think I am going to go for those, somehow...;)
DeleteOwls are dear to me, because for some reason they are the first animals that really grabbed Bella's attention. She could not say that cow moo (nor she cared too much, despite our most valiant efforts), but she hooted a lot when she saw owls. She was very proud she could recognize them and so were we! :)
Totally gorgeous and enchanting.. and very special that it is a tribute to your daughters passion! I love your owls..they are speaking to my heart and soul!! There is such beautiful flow in your line work on the tree bark and lovely shaped leaves too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!
Hugs and blessings in 2014 to you!!
Victoria
